Hi. I’m Michael Erb and I’m been using a computer since some indistinct time around 1982. My first computer was a Timex Sinclair 1000 and I thought it was the coolest thing I’d ever seen.
It came with 2K of RAM. Isn’t that hilarious? 2K of RAM. And you could purchase a 16K memory expansion upgrade to give you a whopping total of 18K RAM. Yes, things have changed in the last 38 years.. I moved from the Timex Sinclair to a Texas Instruments TI-99/4a. Guess what? I thought that was the coolest thing I’d ever seen too. After that I had a Commodore 64 and in 1987, a Macintosh SE/30.
In short, I’ve been a computer geek since the beginning of personal computing and I’ve never looked back. Well technically, I just did look back, but only briefly.
I will cover many topics of interest to me and hopefully to you. Everything from technical book reviews, commentary on new computer products, troubleshooting software, web design tips and probably quite a bit more. If you find something of value here, drop a comment. Thanks and I hope we all can contribute.
